The company was established in 1962 by Les Shervey, who started the business with a Landcruiser 4WD transporting small boats for clients primarily to and from backyards.
Mark Anderson’s Boat Transport
In 1980 Mark Anderson took ownership of Boat Transport and has been the driving force behind the company until 2018.
Mark’s passion for sailing gave him first hand experience and knowledge of boats, and Mark Anderson has become one of the most trusted names in the industry.
The next generation
Mark’s son, Tom, started working for Boat Transport in 2012.
Tom, like his father, shares a great passion for sailing and boats in general. Tom has become a competitive sailor, sailing since he was 5 years old and currently racing 18’ Skiffs on Sydney Harbour.
Thomas took ownership of Boat Transport after Mark’s Retirement in 2018 and is the new driving force of the business, with the same work ethics established in him by his father.

Today, Boat Transport (which continues to operate and to be known as Mark Anderson’s Boat Transport) is a preferred provider for boat transport in Australia by many well-known national and international companies including: McConaghy Boats, Auzura Yachts, Palm Beach Motor Boats, Beneteau, to name a few.
No job is too big or too small for us. We are able to accommodate requests for transportation of boats ranging from small skiffs and personal watercraft to large commercial vessels and yacht at very competitive prices.
We transport boats using the most up to date equipment, reliable techniques and tested systems. We have designed and manufactured our own trailers to accommodate needs of our regular as well as new clients, to ensure the all important safe journey of any boat to its destination.
